2022-23 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey PMG Parallels
Naturally, the 2022-23 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey checklist is headlined by Precious Metal Gems (PMG). These popular parallels cover the base cards as well as the rookie-heavy 1998-99 Metal Universe Retros (50 cards - 1:5 packs) and comic-styled 2013 Metal Universe (1:240 packs) inserts.
All the PMG sets include Red PMG (90 copies), Green PMG (10 copies) and Gold PMG (1/1) editions, while only 2013 Metal Universe has Blue PMG (#/50).
2022-23 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey Inserts
Of course, that's just the start for the inserts found in 2022-23 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey.
New choices include Aspects (1:15 packs) / Rookie Aspects (1:30 packs), Bottle Rockets (1:10 packs), featuring veteran scorers, and Flash the Glove (1:7.5 packs). Each Hobby box should have five total cards from this group.
Boxes should also deliver one insert card from a selection that has All-Starring (1:32 packs), showcasing All-Stars on a movie poster design, Jarring (1:47 packs) and Metal Ore (1:75 packs).
Most of these have a serial-numbered Gold parallel, as well.
Among the returning sets, Skybox Premium Prospects (1:5 packs) is back to highlight top rookies.
In addition, collectors should expect one acetate insert per box from either Hardware (1:150 packs), Palladium (1:50 packs) or The House (1:25 packs).
Cache (1:24) is a debut series for 2022-23 Skybox Metal Universe Hockey. The precious metal theme includes Gold (#/100) and Platinum Blue (#/15) versions.
Shifting to the toughest pulls, popular short prints include Hot Numbers (1:240 packs), Jambalaya (1:960 packs) and Metal-X (1:240 packs).
There are new chase inserts, as well. Fans can try their luck hunting down Hot Shots (1:600 packs), retro-inspired Linchpins (1:300 packs) and Tetrad (1:300 packs).
