Continuing the long history of the OPC brand, 2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey is back for another NHL season.
The Upper Deck line focuses on parallels, inserts and manufactured patches.
2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Base / Parallels
As usual, the 2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey checklist is quite large with 600 total cards in the base set. This includes 100 All-Star / Marquee Rookie high-series cards.
New this year is the Blaster-exclusive Yellow Border and the Hobby-exclusive Neon Pink Border (#/75) parallel for the entire set.
In addition, four different Hobby-only Rainbow Foil editions, numbered to 350 copies or less, debut for the All-Star / Marquee Rookie cards (#501-600).
Finally, there's the 600-card OPC Retro variation set that averages one card per pack. These, too, feature Hobby-exclusive parallels.

2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Variations
As usual, there is unannounced content that Upper Deck refers to as "Easter Eggs." Look for a variety of base image variations, including Black & White, Close-Up Headshots, Draft Night, Outdoor Game, and Pre-Game Warm-Up.
These can be confirmed thanks to the black border shading at the top of the card on the back.
While these are an annual inclusion, Upper Deck does not disclose them on the checklist or provide the official odds.
2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Inserts
Shifting to the inserts, 2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey supplies a fresh batch of OPC Playing Cards. These average four per Hobby box.
O-Pee-Chee Premier (1:4 packs) is revamped and adds Hobby-exclusive Diamond Rainbow Foilboard parallels (#/99).
Fans can chase short-printed lenticular cards, as well, via the 3D Marquee Rookie (1:864 packs) insert line. These are only in Hobby boxes.
Another surprise is the unannounced Woodies insert line.
2022-23 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Manufactured Patches
And it wouldn't be OPC without the manufactured patches. The toughest pulls among the OPC Patches series include the HOF Logo (1:2,250 packs), Logo Update (1:2,250 packs) and Stanley Cup Trophy (1:1,625 packs) versions.
